BCCUK celebrates 2569th Buddha Jayanti in Aldershot

London. Buddhist Community Centre (BCC) UK is celebrating 2569th Buddha Jayanti with religious services. The event will be held at the Empire Hall in Aldershot on Monday, May 12. The event, which will be held in the presence of the revered Dorjin Lama Nima Lungrig Rinpoche of the Sechen Monastery in Kathmandu, will be attended by the Mayor of the local Rushmore Borough Council, councilors, representatives of various religious, social and charitable organizations, social workers, entrepreneurs, businessmen and devotees.

Organized in two phases, the event will be held from 8 am to 10 am on Monday, May 12 at the BCC Monastery in Aldershot, where religious gurus including the head of the monastery, Lama Khenpo Senang, Lopen Bhimnath Yonjan and others will perform Buddhist meditation and worship. Similarly, in the second phase, Buddha Jayanti will be celebrated at the Empire Hall from 11 am on the same day, informed Robin Gurung, Vice President of BCC UK and Coordinator of the Buddha Jayanti Celebration Organizing Committee. According to him, there will be a program to welcome the guests, recite auspicious verses, and offer mandalas. After that, a discourse and anointing will be given.

At the end of the program, which will be held under the chairmanship of BCC UK President Ang Dawa Sherpa, Venerable Dorjin Lama Nima Lungrig Rinpoche will give a discourse on the special features and importance of White Tara Long Life Improvement and will also give the anointing of life (wang).

An entry fee of 15 pounds has been set for the program, and those interested in participating in the program can purchase tickets from the BCC UK’s Aldershot monastery or Eventbrite online, informed Gurung, the program coordinator.

In addition, according to BCC UK General Secretary Major Kumar Gurung MVO, Nepali Ambassador to the UK Chandra Kumar Ghimire has been invited as a special guest, as well as chairmen of various organizations, gurus of various monasteries, entrepreneurs, businessmen and donors.

Chairman Sherpa informed that the entire working committee of BCC UK, mothers and advisors are preparing for the successful completion of the Buddha Jayanti, which will also include free food and tea, and he has cordially requested all Nepali parents, brothers and sisters living in the UK to participate in the program.
